Topic: Restorative Implant Dentistry..anything new going on?
Dear Doctor
I could not get available spot for the implant meeting for January so therefore our next meeting is in March. All dates are posted at the bottom of this email for the year.
I am wondering if all of you would be open to getting together via Webinar once evry month for a 90 minute session. Session will consists of an hour of talk on a topic and then discussion with q&a's. If we get enough audiance, we can also invite, guest speakers in the future. Right now, I am just taking a poll from all of you, who would be interested and what ay of the week and time would be the best. It will be difficult for all of us to agree on a particular time, day etc. I propose, Wednesday at 8:00 pm. Please let me know. You will get a 1.5 hr CE Credit per session and fee for 12 sessions would be $300, paid upfront.
I am curious what do you think about it. I have done this before but was limited to only few students in my class.
I would like to discuss Restorative Options and where implant dentistry is going with what is "latest and best". I have learnt, before jumping on the bandwagon, one must be cautious and allow a period to see if a product or technique develops a track record that you can depend on. Most labs and companies make claims that are not worded correctly and truly, beware is all I can say. I want to discuss, options from single tooth to multiple teeth to full restoration including over denture and what literature says today.
You know that I have retired but I am still involved. I am going to continue attending meetings and I encourage for you do so. ICOI and AAID are excellent platforms. I am member of both and attend both on a regular basis. I know memberships are expensive but in the long run, they are worth it. If you wish to join, I can be your sponsorer.
